Teens with Promise operates a “Teen Shop/Boutique" dedicated to providing teenagers with the supplies they need to start and stay in school. The "Look Good and Feel Better" program is a phrase Teens With Promise likes to use when finding ways to improve one's self esteem. We can all remember when we were 16 and wanting to fit in, nothing was as important as having the "right" clothes and not being teased. The shop provides struggling youth with age appropriate clothes and shoes to start the school year off right.
All clothes and materials are provided at no cost to the student. Schools, shelters, social service agencies and other professionals are able to make a referral for a student to come and shop for needed clothes, schools supplies and sports equipment in a store-like setting. Over the past 10 years, this program has distributed school supplies, and clothing to more than 15,000 youth.
Teens with Promise has a room dedicated to providing teens with sports equipment so they can get
more involved in school. Teens with Promise works with local doctors to provide sports physicals for
teens in need.
